About Dr. McIntosh

Dr. Ayana McIntosh graduated from New York Medical College prior to completing her training in internal medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia PA. She completed her residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Maryland Medical Center, where she served as a chief resident and recipient of the Dean’s award in academic research. Dr. McIntosh is a pain management specialist, fellowship trained in interventional spine procedures at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, Kernan Rehabilitation Hospital, and the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore Maryland. Dr. McIntosh has been trained by and has worked with experts in the field of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome management. She has a unique understanding of the autonomic nervous system, physiology, and joint pain. She is well-versed mast cell activation syndrome and management. Dr. McIntosh has confidently diagnosed and treated numerous patients with connective tissue dysfunction.
