REHABILITATION AND EASTERN MEDICINE

What to Expect
At PRISM, we take a full-body approach. Your journey will begin with an assessment of how your biomechanics, alignment, fascia and compensation patterns influence your pain, injury or neurologic symptoms. Often, treating neck or shoulder instability may begin with aligning the pelvis and hips and training spinal rotation to give upper body a better base of support.
Each Rehab Specialist is receives at least 200 hours of on-the-job training our signature PRISM Physiolign™ Program. This means that in addition to their own areas of specialization, each of our PTs and ATCs have overlapping skill sets in manual medicine, neuromuscular reeducation, and biomechanics retraining and corrective exercise.
The program is based in osteopathic principles, exercise science, applied neurophysics, orthopaedics, dance kinesiology, pilates, and many established physical therapy and myofascial techniques.

In addition to the many additional skills our providers bring with them and the continuing education courses we do each month in techniques such as lymphatic drainage, TMJD therapies, cranial osteopathy, and more, we continue to work together to advance our own innovative techniques.
Patients are taught home programs to empower them to manage their conditions or improve their athletic performance. Coaching focuses on efficiency of movement and breathing, eccentric tone and muscle endurance to resist compression and shear forces, and recognizing biomechanic cues to minimize stress and strain to joints and connective tissues.
We progress from manual techniques to neuromuscular re-education, stability training, and out into our gym where our popular Physiolign™ Reformer Lessons and Coaching take our patients skills and understanding to the next level. At all times, we will do this as a collaboration with our patients.
