Meet Kyle Seymour, LAT, ATC

Athletic Trainer

I am a Board Certified Athletic Trainer with 5 years of clinical experience working in both athletics and in an orthopedic physical therapy clinic. I have developed and maintained collaborative programming including injury prevention, evaluation, acute injury treatment, and thoughtful rehabilitation. I am passionate about supporting patients through their experiences with injury and pain. I am experienced in providing evidence-based therapeutic rehabilitation for various acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries for patients of all ages.

The transition to PRISM has been rewarding, and I have loved continuing to learn and grow. My onboarding included several months of training with Dr. Zingman and the rest of the PRISM team mastering the skills and knowledge needed to improve the lives of patients with complex musculoskeletal disorders including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. PRISM’s collaborative and personalized approach allows us to develop and implement compassionate and effective rehab programs for our patients. I admire the resilience and sustained effort our patients make in working towards less pain and greater function.

In addition to rehabilitative athletic training, I have worked with athletes for the purpose of injury prevention and performance enhancement for conditions ranging from ACL injury in female soccer players to improving agility for football players. Whether I am working with patients who deal with chronic musculoskeletal conditions and painful joint hypermobility or with athletes who have either sustained injury and been unable to fully return to sport or are struggling to take their skills to the next level, I take a thoughtful and strategic approach to helping them reach their goals.

I am originally from Newport Delaware, and have adopted Washington, D.C. as my home. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, hiking, Swing Dancing, and listening to music.
